Suit Challenges MPS Appointments to MATC Committee

Today, Local 212 and a coalition of citizens from Milwaukee's diverse communities, filed suit in Milwaukee County Circuit Court regarding the composition of the committee appointed to select MATC Board Members.

The suit contends that Ken Johnson, the Chair of the MPS Board, violated the law when he appointed political cronies rather than MPS Board members reflecting “the distribution of women and minorities” (statute language) in Milwaukee to this committee.
