Act 10 Workshop and Dinner with AFT-Wisconsin President Jon Shelton

Join Local 212 for an important Act 10 Workshop featuring AFT-Wisconsin President Jon Shelton on December 3.

Jon will provide an update on the current status of Act 10, what its potential overturning could mean for public employees across Wisconsin, and the primary scenarios for how Act 10 could be overturned. He will also discuss what Local 212 members can do now to prepare for the opportunities ahead.

The next few months could bring tremendous opportunities to finally turn the page on Act 10 and help build the state that we and our students deserve. Now is the time to get informed, get involved, and be ready for what comes next!

Don't miss this important workshop! Contact the Local 212 Office at aftlocal212office@gmail.com to RSVP and to receive the event time and location.

President Shelton will discuss:

  • The current status of Act 10 and what members should know

  • AFT-Wisconsin’s planning for a post–Act 10 environment

  • What Local 212 can do now to prepare

  • The importance of strengthening membership and organizing

  • How we can be ready to pursue collective bargaining if the opportunity arises

We encourage all Local 212 members to participate, learn more about what may be ahead, and discuss how we can prepare together for the future of collective bargaining in Wisconsin.
