Making a Difference One Board Meeting At A Time

Local 212 VP of PT Faculty and ESL Instructor, Richard Cohn, appeared to the MATC Board to speak about the struggles facing PT faculty at the college and confront board members about the lack of pay for part timers participating in nonteaching events like MATC Day. The results of Richard's comments were promising with the board motioning for a response from MATC administration regarding PT faculty's pay for attending nonteaching events and will take this up at their November meeting. We found the board's response encouraging and will keep members posted as this story develops.
