Congratulations to our Deputy VP PTF Crash Crawford WE CARE Service Award!

Hughes "Crash" Crawford, a part-time instructor for the Audio program and Local 212 Deputy VP for Part-Time Faculty, has been honored with the WE CARE/#ALLin award for his exceptional dedication to students. Since joining MATC in 2021, Crash has consistently gone above and beyond. Crash applies his real world experience in the sound industry to enrich his teaching and support students both in and out of the classroom. His efforts have helped at least 10 former students find jobs in the live events field.

An example of his commitment occurred when a student, recovering from a gunshot wound and facing homelessness, reached out to Crash for help. Without hesitation, Crash provided transportation, then worked with MATC staff and external agencies to ensure the student had access to housing, resources, and support. His actions were instrumental in helping the student stay on track to graduate. This demonstrated Crash’s deep compassion and unwavering support for student success.
