Recertification Message from Lisa Conley

A big shout out and “Thank You!” to Local 212’s amazing Staff (Office Manager, Nicole Tudury, Organizing Coordinator, Cathy Thum, Communication Director Scott Mashlan, and Labor Relations Director, Sam Froiland), and the Local 212 Leadership Team and outreach volunteers--all who worked tirelessly to bring home another successful recertification.

To all who voted, we are grateful and humbled by the support and trust you have bestowed on Local 212 and its leadership. We are also excited to keep moving forward together, especially as we begin to prepare for this year's base wage bargain and as we continue to identify, call out and work with the administration to address a number of pressing issues, including more fair, transparent and competitive compensation structures and practices, true SHARED GOVERNANCE for both the academic & student services sides of the house, improvements to and fidelity within hiring and evaluation practices, students-first staffing, and repairing years of trust-erosion and culture-neglect. 

In short, we look forward to what we can accomplish together in 2025 and beyond!
