Local 212 Shows Up and Stands Out at Laborfest 2025!

More than 50 Local 212 members and retirees were joined by their friends and family to stand in solidarity with Local 212 at the Labor Day Celebration. With bright new Local 212 T-shirts, our parade participants kicked off the day in style! Among more than 50 unions, we made our presence known at one of the largest Labor Day celebrations in the nation, hosted by the Milwaukee Area Labor Council, AFL-CIO.

To thank our members for their dedication, all participants received food and beverage cards that were redeemable at the at the Henry Meir Festival Grounds. These efforts and gifts were made possible through a generous grant from AFT-Wisconsin.

With the help of MALC, Local 212 proudly advanced three key goals:

  • Provide education to employees on labor history, workplace matters, political and social justice issues, and related events and opportunities.

  • Raise awareness about the value of collective bargaining, shared governance, the Recertification Election, efforts to overturn Act 10, and the pursuit of restoring Fair Share rights in Wisconsin.

  • Connect union leaders and members with other participating Locals to strengthen solidarity and our collective voice.
