Local 212 Shows Up and Stands Out at the Labor Day Parade!

Local 212 members and leaders joined thousands of union members, families, and community supporters on Monday, September 7, for Milwaukee’s annual Labor Day Parade and Laborfest Celebration. The parade kicked off at Zeidler Union Square and made its way to Henry Maier Festival Park, where union members gathered to celebrate the contributions of working people and the strength of the labor movement.

Through our participation, Local 212 continued to advance three important goals: educating members about labor history, building union solidarity and community both within and outside of Local 212, and celebrating the union movement.

Labor Day is more than a holiday, it is an opportunity to recognize the contributions of generations of union members who have worked to improve workplaces and communities. By participating in the annual Labor Day Parade and Laborfest Celebration, Local 212 continues to honor that history while standing in solidarity.
