Millions Participate in Nationwide 'No Kings" Demonstrations

On October 18, 2025, millions of Americans across all 50 states participated in “No Kings” rallies, a coordinated day of peaceful demonstrations expressing concern over the direction of the country. Organizers estimated that nearly 7 million people attended events at more than 2,700 locations nationwide. According to The Washington Post, participants described the gatherings as positive and spirited, while political leaders and commentators offered differing interpretations of the protests’ message. Members of AFT Local 212 joined the march in Milwaukee, standing in solidarity with others who support civic engagement and democratic values.
