AFT Local 212 Recertification Vote Starts April 8th at Noon

Local 212’s annual recertification vote will take place from April 8 (noon) to April 28 (noon), and all eligible employees—regardless of union membership—are encouraged to vote “YES.” This vote is critical because the union must receive support from 51% of all eligible voters (including non-voters) If you don't vote it counts as a “NO” vote. 

Recertification ensures Local 212 can negotiate your wages, protect your benefits, advocate for fair working conditions, and continue representing employees in workplace matters. The union has played a key role in maintaining strong employee protections, defending retirement benefits, and promoting shared governance.

Voting is quick and can be done online, by phone, or via QR code. Your participation is essential—every vote counts.
